Why is Talc used?

Lucy Chew+Park does contain a small amount of food-grade talc as an ingredient.

You've likely seen the news about the link between baby powder and ovarian cancer recently. According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), talc-based powders are generally not carcinogenic. However, there is a small risk that talcum powder may be carcinogenic for humans when applied to the genitals.

Fortunately, talc as an ingredient in gum has a long history of safe use around the world (it's used in small quantities for the production of almost every chewing gum).
